Wholesaler association spotlights Cavalier Distribution and its craft beer champion

We say CBB kudos to Michelle Graef, a model employee and expert at craft beer distribution.

We take time today to honor one of the most important parts of the craft beer equation — the distributor. In the spotlight is craft beer distribution company Cavalier Distributing, which recently announced that Michelle Graef has been recognized in the National Beer Wholesalers Association’s (NBWA’s) Employee Spotlight Program. Based in Columbus, Ohio, Graef is currently the brand manager and corporate sales trainer for Cavalier and has worked for the company four years, starting as a sales representative.

“Michelle Graef is a champion of craft beer, managing 25-plus brands for our company and overseeing the sales training for Cavalier Florida, Indiana and Ohio,” said Cavalier Distributing Founder and President George Fisher. “We are thankful to have Michelle on our team, not only because of her loyalty to craft beer, but because of her ability to strengthen our sales force and build up our brands.”

America’s 3,300 independent beer distribution facilities employ 130,000 men and women in communities across the country. The NBWA Employee Spotlight Program highlights standout beer distribution employees and showcases their achievements.

“It is often noted that many beer distribution companies are family-owned and operated, and many of these businesses operate as an extended ‘family,’ with employees who have worked in the business for 10, 15, 20 years and more. NBWA’s Employee Spotlight Program recognizes these standout employees who are the face of the American beer industry in their communities,” said NBWA President and CEO Craig Purser.
