As breweries continue to expand and the complexity of their operations increases, MicroStar Logistics hopes to help meet the industry’s growing supply chain needs, which is a big reason behind the company’s addition of Geoff Fisher as vice president of logistics.
Fisher joins the MicroStar team after holding various senior leadership roles at Nestle and Ghirardelli where he was responsible for efficiently transporting dairy-based products while holding to the highest quality and sustainability standards.
“One of the very few things better than ice cream and chocolate is craft beer,” Fisher said. “I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work with some of the best brewers in the world and, by making their supply chains more efficient, they can keep focusing on what is most important — brewing the highest quality beer. Additionally, I’m proud to be part of a team that values sustainability as it’s critically important to the industry and to me personally.”
Fisher is the latest of several additions to the MicroStar team and helps position the company at the leading edge of logistics and customer service best practices. Other new additions to the leadership team include Casey Dodson, vice president of sales, and Dan Vorlage, vice president of business development and marketing. These new leadership roles are critical as MicroStar works to build a team that focuses on a customer first approach.
“As the beer industry continues to evolve, it will be critical for brewers to have the most sophisticated and efficient supply chain solutions at their disposal,” said Michael Hranicka, MicroStar’s President and CEO. “MicroStar is committed to our customers and will continue to invest in resources and infrastructure to meet their expanding needs.”
