Philanthropy often leads to good outcomes. We recently covered Goat Patch Brewing Co. doing a fundraiser for the Rocky Mountain Highway Music Collaborative, which is a cool org that promotes and nurtures the local Colorado Springs live music scene. Now, Goat Patch just announced it will be the exclusive beer provider for MeadowGrass Music Festival — Rocky Mountain Highway Music Collaborative’s recurring music fest, bringing music from local, regional and national levels to Colorado Springs. The fest has some seriously excellent bands too — like Blitzen Trapper — saw them at the Beachland way back in 2011. Love this tune:
Like philanthropy and beer, music and craft brews make a great combo. Back in January, Goat Patch Brewing‘s Bleating Heart Night fest featured an evening of live music, giveaways and the launch of MeadowGrass 2024 tickets. One dollar from each pint sold during that event was donated to the Rocky Mountain Highway Music Collaborative, which is very cool. FYI: Goat Patch Brewing is an excellent craft brewery established in Colorado Springs in 2017, focusing on both beer and community outreach. In fact, every Tuesday is Bleeding Heart Night at its taproom, which from 5 to 9 p.m. it donates proceeds from sales to a non-profit.
Anyway, with its karmic wheel rolling in the right direction, Goat Patch Brewing is now the official beer sponsor for MeadowGrass’ 15th-anniversary celebration. Just imagine award winning craft beer against the stunning backdrop of the Pikes Peak region.
Scheduled over Memorial Day Weekend from Friday through Sunday, MeadowGrass promises an array of activities for guests of all ages from culinary delights from local vendors to workshops as well as performances by renowned headliners such as The Steel Wheels, Blitzen Trapper and John Craigie & Friends as well as returning acts and locals of southern Colorado. Nestled amidst several hundred acres of pristine forests, canyons and historic buildings, the festival grounds provide an awesome backdrop for camping, exploration, beers and music. This is all just 60 minutes from Denver and a mere 30 minutes from downtown Colorado Springs. From the press release:
Jessica Barney, Executive Director of Rocky Mountain Highway Music Collaborative, the organization behind MeadowGrass, expressed her excitement about the partnership, stating, “This marks the 15th anniversary of the MeadowGrass Music Festival, a milestone that reflects the deepening bonds of our partnerships over the years. Among these, Goat Patch Brewing has become an integral part of our community, drawing parallels with our shared audiences. So, when they approached us with their interest, our response was absolutely yes!”
Through this partnership, festival attendees can look forward to enjoying a selection of Goat Patch’s finest craft brews, perfectly complementing the vibrant atmosphere and stellar lineup of artists. Goat Patch Brewing will also be hosting a pre-festival party at its brewery location on March 23, from 4 to 8 p.m., which will feature live music from Roma Ransom from 5 to 7 p.m., weekend pass giveaways and more.
Tickets for MeadowGrass are available on the Rocky Mountain Highway Music Collaborative website.
