The nearly three-year old, 17-beer deep Epic Brewing announced a distribution deal with Alpha Beer Distributing to start shipping those 17 brews into Washington State. Epic is currently available in 12 states, including the District of Columbia.
The Utah-based Epic said the Washington launch will take place over the course of several days, from Feb. 26 through Feb. 27, in the Seattle/Tacoma area. The Epic representation in attendance includes Michael Malachowski, national sales manager, and Eric Wilderson, Pacific Northwest sales rep.
“We have been excited to launch in Washington for quite a while,” said Epic’s co-founder Dave Cole. “And with the opening of our Denver facility close at hand, we felt the timing was finally right.”
For those in the area (or crazy beer lovers nowhere near the area) here is the schedule of events:
- On Feb. 26 at 6 p.m., at the Pine Box in Seattle, Epic makes its Washington debut with seven different brews available on draft.
- On Feb. 27 at 5 p.m., Epic representatives will be at Pint Defiance in Tacoma with four brews on draft and 22-ounce bottles available as well.
- On Feb. 28 at 5 p.m., Beer Junction in West Seattle will host a Brewers Night.
- On March 1 at 5 p.m., Bottleworks in Seattle will host the final event, also a Brewers Night.
“We are really looking forward to launching our beers in Seattle/Tacoma,” Malachowski said. “A lot of people have been asking when Epic would be available in Washington and we are thrilled to finally be able to make this announcement.”
Epic is distributed in the following states: Utah; California; Colorado; Oregon; Arizona; Idaho; Ohio; Virginia; Washington, D.C.; New Jersey; Minnesota; North Carolina; and Michigan.
