Intrepid CBBer Pete McNeil, here. I traveled to Asheville, N.C., recently for a work vacation to tour the famous craft beer burg, drinking brewskis, enjoying fine dining and interviewing some famous locals in the indie beer scene. The biggest stop on the tour was with New Belgium Brewing Co., which opened its East Coast Asheville operations about a year and half ago.
Over these three video interviews, we talk with the appropriately named Michael Craft, who’s with New Belgium’s community outreach program. We discuss the inception of the new facility and how work is rolling after a year-plus. From water sources and Brownfield sites to lauter tuns and experimental brands, Craft delves into a little bit of everything in these three mini movies while sipping on suds. Just watching it will make you long for an Asheville pub crawl.
