This editor is pleased to announce the return of one of his favorite beers — Victory Brewing Co.‘s Hop Ranch Imperial India Pale Ale. Pungent and floral in every sip, this powerful brew features full, juicy hop character, while expressing notes of mango, pineapple and the pleasantly sharp, biting edges of citrus fruit. The tart qualities and sweet juiciness of Azacca and Mosaic hops lends to a super tropical, citrus delicious brew.
With an ABV of 9.0 percent, Hop Ranch Imperial India Pale Ale traces its roots to Victory’s Ranch series, a unique and comprehensive study of hops in which brewmasters experimented with different hop varieties to showcase and celebrate a range of flavor profiles and distinctions.
Hop Ranch was borne out of the creativity of the Victory brewmasters utilizing and tweaking different yeast and malt characteristics with their signature whole flower hops. The name is Victory Brewing Co.’s way of paying direct homage to the hop farmers who work their ranches each and every day to enable craft breweries to create the most superior, consistently flavorful product to fans nationwide. Victory Brewing Co. uses whole flower hops in every beer that rolls off the bottling line and would be unable to provide delicious, rich flavor brews without the ranchers, farmers and Mother Nature herself.
Hop Ranch is available now until February at craft beer bars, bottle shops, beer distributors and major gourmet grocery stores, including Whole Foods and Wegmans, throughout Victory’s 35 state distribution footprint. Hop Ranch is offered on draft and in 12-ounce bottles (4 packs) for approximately $9.99, but varies upon location. Use Victory’s Beerfinder to discover a nearby location, or download the free Victory Mobile app for Android or iPhone.
“The Ranch series transpired due to our strong desire to push the flavor boundaries of the traditional IPA,” said President and Brewmaster Bill Covaleski. “With Hop Ranch, we took the complexity of Azzaca and Mosaic hops and created an intensely flavorful brew dedicated to our loyal IPA fans.”
