Tickets are on now sale for the New York State Craft Brewers Festival in Albany, taking place on Sat., Jan. 27 at the Desmond Hotel. Returning to Albany for its 9th year, the event brings together more than 50 breweries from every region of the state to showcase NYS craft beer. Attendees will get to sample new flavors, styles and brands of craft beer that they wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to taste around Albany, poured by brewery owners and brewers themselves.
Tickets for the New York State Craft Brewers Festival in Albany may be purchased on the Think NY, Drink NY website or in-person (cash only) at Unified Beerworks (Malta), Wolf Hollow Brewing Company (Schenectady), Rare Form (Troy) and Fidens (Albany).
“Promoting responsible and safe indulgence of our favorite craft beverages is a priority of ours each year,” said Paul Leone, executive director of the New York State Brewers Association. “We love bringing our Craft Brewers Festival to the Desmond Hotel, which allows event attendees to easily relax and imbibe without having to leave the property.”
New York State Craft Brewers Festivals are the only craft beer festivals in the state where proceeds are used to directly support the craft beer industry through advocacy, education and promotion. In turn, the 500+ breweries in New York State generate a 5.2-billion-dollar economic impact.
- Pre-sale General Admission tickets are $45 and include festival access from 5-8 p.m., a 7-ounce souvenir tasting glass, the freedom to enjoy unlimited 3-ounce beer samples and the opportunity to meet the masters behind attendee’s favorite craft beers.
- Pre-sale General Admission Plus tickets are $65 and include the same benefits, plus an additional hour of festival access from 4-5 p.m. There are only a limited number of GA+ tickets available, so these ticket holders get an intimate hour to converse with brewers and brewery owners before the rest of the attendees are admitted.
Many of the breweries in attendance are award-winning, including past winners of the New York State Craft Beer Competition. In addition, local food vendors from the city’s acclaimed foodie scene will be on site serving up savory eats for purchase.
“I love pouring at the New York State Craft Brewers Festival in Albany because I get to share our craft with other beer enthusiasts – both the event attendees and my fellow brewers,” said Dawn Schulz of Prison City Brewing. “New York’s craft beer industry is tightknit, and this event allows the community to celebrate together and talk beer.”
