Rock and roll and craft beer go hand-in-hand — they’re bold, creative and smack you out of complacency. The really good ones even make you want to get up and dance. That’s why it makes perfect sense that feedback and a wicked bass line open Stone Brewing Co.’s latest video, a mise-en-scène love letter to Stone IPA.
“Whereas today the letters IPA inspire exclamation points among beer enthusiasts, when Stone IPA hit the scene in 1997, the acronym elicited mostly question marks. India pale ale…what’s that?” the Stone Brewing Co. blog stated. Stone co-founder and original brewmaster Steve Wagner hoped for his own British invasion, when he crafted the hop-amplified remix of a British beer classic with the initial batch of Stone IPA.
Like a four-on-the-floor drum beat and sick riff, a good IPA reaches straight into the core of every beer drinker and lets them know that they’re alive. It’s a feeling that a generation ever longed for and continues to crave. Check out the Stone Brewing Co. blog for the full write up and a history of Stone IPA.
