Pourtastic Tastings LLC recently announced the acquisition of PMG Tastings, a subsidiary of PMG Success Retail & Entertainment Inc. PMG Tastings was acquired in May 2024 and integration was completed in late August.
“PMG Tastings has a strong reputation for excellence in retail and entertainment and we are excited to bring their expertise and talent into the Pourtastic family,” said Amber Rynbrandt, company founder of Pourtastic Tastings LLC.
Rynbrandt, along with Pourtastic Partners Keith and Erica Diamond, executed the purchase of PMG Tastings after PMG Success Retail & Entertainment, Inc. decided to focus on the other marketing arms of their business. For the last two years, Pourtastic has been executing for PMG, equaling over 3,400 demos.
The history here
Established in 1992, PMG Retail & Entertainment began executing alcohol tasting events in 2007 in retail locations. In 2017, they spun-off PMG Tastings as its own company to focus on tastings solely. Brent Statzer, owner of PMG Tastings said selling to Pourtastic was an easy decision.
“Pourtastic Tastings was the ideal partner for PMG Tastings coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic,” Statzer said. “Our two company’s core values aligned and the Pourtastic scheduling and reporting platform was easy for our brand ambassadors to adapt to. It was a seamless transition for our retail and brand partners as well.”
Pourtastic will be temporarily changing its name to “Pourtastic PMG Tastings” as a part of the transition.
As a leading provider of promotional tasting services, Pourtastic currently contracts over 700 active brand ambassadors across the state of Texas to promote over 50 different alcoholic beverages. Markets include San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston. Pourtastic has serviced clients in 10 other states across the United states over its 11 years of business, with plans to expand back to multiple states surrounding Texas in 2025.
A good combo
This acquisition is a natural fit for our company as we continue to grow and diversify our services,” said Rynbrandt. “Together, we will be able to offer even more innovative solutions to our clients and retail partners.”
Through the acquisition, Pourtastic will be adding to its existing list of top tier partners, Constellation Brands, HUSA and Molson-Coors. H-E-B has green lighted more wine demos via Pourtastic, adding value to its portfolio of clients.
One of the mains reasons to pursue PMG Tastings was to solidify Pourtastic’s relationship with H-E-B, the #1 retailer in Texas. PMG has been working with H-E-B since its inception, a testament to their commitment to excellence. Currently Pourtastic has tasting events at 375 H-E-B locations.
“We certainly appreciate the partnerships from PMG and Pourtastic. Looking forward to what this powerhouse combination can deliver for HEB in the future,” Rusty Woodland, Business Development Manager at H-E-B.
In tandem with the purchase, Pourtastic launched a new customer “Pour-tal” or portal, giving their clients the ability to view upcoming events and reporting from a micro to macro level. This powerful tool is unmatched in the industry. These two major advances position the company for a strong Q4 of 2024 and start of 2025.
