We’re a little late here on this news. Sorry, the inbox was full of junk, and we were busy winning awards. BUT, on Saturday April 21, Paradox Brewery broke ground at a new location in North Hudson, N.Y., about 12 miles north of its current location in Schroon Lake. The brewery is expected to have a grand opening in May of 2019. Its new location will house a state-of-the-art GEA Craft-Star brewhouse, Westfalia centrifuge, expanded cellar and CODI Mfg. canning line.
Paradox Brewery is an award-winning craft brewery located in the Adirondack Mountains — near Schroon Lake. Paradox currently distributes kegs, cans and specialty bottles in New York State. Bottles include barrel aged beers, sour ales and wild ales fermented by its house brett culture. The brewery and tasting room are open year-round on Route 9 in Schroon Lake.
Paradox Brewery also started canning some new beers on late April — specifically its Weather Series — Session Pale Ale, Southern Hemisphere. Weather is a beer series focused on the hops. The style of beer and hop blend changes each release but the focus remains on the hops. It gives us a chance to play with the new and exciting hops everyone enjoys drinking and each iteration is different to keep you coming back for more. This is packaged in 16-oz four-packs primarily at the brewery with very limited distribution. Each rotation can be identified by the date code on the can. Pay attention to social media for what’s out now.
Session Pale ale is a 4.5 percent easy drinking pale ale perfect for the warmer weather. Expect firm bitterness backed up by notes of lime and stone fruit.
