The Nevada State Parks Foundation is collaborating with the Las Vegas Brewing Company on a line of through specialty beers inspired by the beauty and history of Nevada’s state parks.
A new beer will be released every few months, each inspired by a different Nevada state park. This will showcase the diversity of the state’s parks while also raising awareness and funds for their continued preservation. With every 4-pack sold, 5% of proceeds will be donated to the Nevada State Parks Foundation, directly supporting projects that enhance and protect these cherished natural spaces.
“This partnership is a fantastic way to honor the unique stories and natural wonders of Nevada’s state parks while supporting the Nevada State Parks Foundation,” said Bob Mergell, Administrator for Nevada Division of State Parks.
Kicking off with Camelops Kölsch
The first of these specialty beers, the Camelops Kölsch, honors Ice Age Fossils State Park and its first anniversary of being open to the public. This bright and refreshing Kölsch celebrates the park, which is home to an impressive collection of Ice Age fossils, including those of the extinct Camelops genus.
The release of the Camelops Kölsch will be marked with a release party at the Las Vegas Brewing Company’s downtown tap house, located at 1226 S 3rd St #180, Las Vegas, NV 89104. The celebration kicks off at 5 PM on February 18, 2025, inviting beer lovers, park enthusiasts, and the public to raise a glass to Ice Age Fossils State Park and its milestone anniversary.
Camelops Kölsch can be found at the Las Vegas Brewing Company taprooms, select Las Vegas area Speedee Mart locations, and 1864 Wine & Spirits (8380 N Decatur Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131). Beer lovers can enjoy this unique brew while supporting Nevada’s state parks, with every purchase contributing to the preservation of these cherished natural spaces.
“Las Vegas Brewing Company aims to celebrate everything Las Vegas and Nevada past, present, and imagined, and in this case, the prehistoric past,” states Kyle Dolder of Las Vegas Brewing Company. “The opportunity to curate specialty brews to support the Nevada State Parks Foundation is an exciting way to promote all the great places to visit in this wonderful state.”
