Can you marry beer?
Ye cannot! So says the law! But maybe you could marry someone who loves beer just as much as you do (if you think that’s healthy). Milwaukee’s Lakefront Brewery understands the power of love mixed with beer makes for a powerful potion of romance. In fact, on Tuesday, Feb. 14 (that’s Valentine’s Day, fellas), the brewery is offering free weddings and vow renewals. Weddings will even include two free pints to have in-hand during the ceremony and a 6-pack and two T-shirts to take home. Sounds like maybe the best wedding ever. From the press release:
Mike Walker, Tour Manager at Lakefront Brewery, said, “We had weddings and vow renewals last year, but this year could be even bigger.” Walker, along with Tour Co-Manager Dylan Marzurkiewicz, focus on the experience. “Lakefront has been a part of so many relationships over the years,” said Marzurkiewicz. “Many couples have met here at the Brewery over the years, as well as on the tour itself.”
Lakefront will provide two ordained officiants that also work as tour guides at the brewery. They will be available all day on Valentine’s to wed the lucky couples. As part of the love and romance of Valentine’s Day, anyone over 21, with a marriage license, can be wed for free at Lakefront Brewery. The Brewery opens at 11 a.m. and closes at 8 p.m. on Valentine’s Day. We’re checking to see if they will also conduct annulments on February 15.
