More than 6,000 small and independent craft breweries are now operating throughout the country, which only means the country needs more places for us to find and drink all of these beers. Luckily, the bar scene has evolved right along with the beer scene, enabling craft beer enthusiasts to sample a nice variety of breweries and styles from around the country at local watering holes around the block. To help enthusiasts find the best assortment of pints in every state, CraftBeer.com — the Brewers Association’s website for lovers (beer lovers) — surveyed its readers for its annual list of Great American Beer Bars.
“CraftBeer.com readers have an extensive level of insight on what makes a beer bar truly stand out,” said Jess Baker, editor in chief, CraftBeer.com. “The Great American Beers Bars, selected by nearly 8,000 individual nominations cast by CraftBeer.com readers, are each stewards of quality craft beer and beer service. These outstanding beer bars, taprooms and brewpubs introduce their customers to new and exciting beer experiences and have been integral to the success of the independent craft brewing movement.”
The list is captured in the graphic below. And speaking of bars, and because I’m posting this and can do whatever I want, shout out to my favorite neighborhood bar, George’s Lounge in Canton, Ohio, which always has great local stuff on tap.
