Huss Brewing Co.‘s newest collaboration with the Phoenix Zoo, the Mexican Wolf IPA, will benefit the Mexican wolf. The Phoenix Zoo supports the purchase of trail cameras to assist the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s efforts to monitor Mexican wolf populations. This includes monitoring den sites to determine reproductive success.
As one of the main local brands represented at the Zoo, Huss has already championed two conservation efforts in the past year – the Black-Footed Ferret and Cactus Ferruginous Pygmy-Owl.
The Mexican Wolf IPA will be available starting on Thursday, October 3 and can only be found at the Zoo. It is an unfiltered IPA offered in cans and on tap.
“Our goals with the Brewers Conservation Series of beers are to use the beer and the cans to highlight the conservation efforts of the Phoenix Zoo and to bring awareness to animals that are endangered,” said Huss Director of Sales & Marketing Shawn Weller. “The Phoenix Zoo is such a great partner and we couldn’t be more proud to support what they are doing for animals near and far.”
Keeping with Huss’ plan to feature a new native species every four months that will help support the many conservation efforts of the Phoenix Zoo, Huss Brewing Co. is also planning to launch a fourth brew that will benefit their jaguars in early 2025.
The Phoenix Zoo supports research in the borderlands region between Northern Mexico and Southern Arizona to better understand how jaguars and other mammals move through the landscape. The Zoo also supports jaguar conservation through research and community outreach projects in Costa Rica that aim to protect vital jaguar habitats.
