Topa Topa Brewing Co. in Ventura, Calif., has developed a new hazy beer series in 2025 that will also launch support for a series of community activities and volunteer events. Each beer in this Good Good series is an opportunity for fans to connect with a local cause in Topa Topa’s region, with February bringing the first beer release and kickoff events including a beach cleanup and film screening.
“When we set out to define what a hazy IPA brand family could and should look like for Topa Topa, we identified key opportunities to create something both intentional and innovative as a team. We see this series as an opportunity to connect with hazy consumers in a more impactful way, bringing them along on a purposeful journey,” shares Director of Sales Sean Beaucar. “The hazy IPA category remains the third-largest share style in Southern California, making it a category that cannot be overlooked. These releases not only showcase the exceptional quality of beer our team produces, but also directly benefit local communities with tangible contributions.”
Good Good series launch
The brand new product line includes four 19.2 oz cans and limited draft, each made in partnership with a 1% for the Planet non-profit based in Southern California. Topa Topa has been a 1% for the Planet member since starting the business in 2015, giving back to countless charities over the past decade. The partners selected for the 2025 Good Good series include Heal the Ocean, Runners for Public Lands, the Channel Islands Park Foundation, and Ventura Land Trust.

Heal the Ocean cleanup and film
The Good Good series begins with a 7.2% hazy IPA in partnership with Heal the Ocean, a Santa Barbara-based non-profit that focuses on combating ocean pollution that is caused by wastewater and ocean dumping.
Jasmin Tupy, Heal the Ocean’s Communications & Operations Manager, notes the organization’s “environmental victories are made possible through the power of collaboration. By working together — with our community, scientists, policymakers, and local leaders — we have achieved major successes,” and they include projects ranging from “removing seven miles of leaking septic systems at Rincon Point to capping abandoned oil wells in Summerland.”
Heal the Ocean and Topa Topa are taking action together by hosting two local beach cleanups, followed by beers at Topa Taprooms with special offers available only to beach cleanup volunteers.
“Environmental problems can feel overwhelming, but together through collaboration, real change can take place. Think globally, act locally. It starts at home,” adds Tupy.
All are welcomed to get involved in doing good by attending either beach cleanup in Santa Barbara or Ventura on February 23, with no advanced sign up required.
Topa Topa will also host a documentary film screening and Q&A on the subject of ocean waste, featuring The Cigarette Surfboard Documentary on February 21 at the Downtown Ventura Taproom.
