FILTEC just launched its own empty can inspection (ECI) system, which you can view first hand at this year’s Craft Brewer Conference in Denver, April 9-11. FILTEC’s ECI system inspects and identifies defects in empty cans before they are filled or seamed, reducing downtime and increasing production line efficiency for brewers and other beverage industry professionals alike.
“The beverage industry, and especially craft brewing, prides itself on quality and safety, but also runs on tight margins and efficiency,” said Christian Beck, Senior Product Manager at FILTEC. “Our empty can inspection system will be a brewer’s best friend thanks to the mitigated risk and increased efficiency it brings by only allowing pristine cans to make it through the system’s intensive screening process.”
FILTEC’s ECI has a compact machine footprint that is easy to install and capable of inspecting for flange, inner sidewall and base type defects. The new system, which takes up less than half a meter on production lines, is incredibly easy to integrate into existing production lines and can inspect at speeds up to 2,400 cans per minute.
ECI joins a suite of FILTEC in-line inspection products aimed at mitigating risk, increasing efficiency and protecting product quality and integrity for the craft brewing industry. Other inspection products and systems that FILTEC offers for craft brewers include FILTEC 3XR & 3G (fill level), AURATEC (pressure and leak detection), QUADVIEW (cap and crown defects), 3CI (case inspector), INTELLECT+ (user interface) and OMNIVISION3 (empty bottle inspection).
