Um, there’s the merch store. Guess we’re jumping into ingredients. Wait! Fermenters! Gaw! This girl walks super-fast. Looks like we’re swinging into the packaging hall. Canning and bottle lines! Beer gets boxed and, boom, there’s my tour’s tiny taster glass. Luckily, the expanded tour (which now includes the packaging hall) of Stone Brewing Co.’s Escondido brewery takes a little longer (45 minutes!) so you can enjoy the massively cool equipment in those facilities.
Each year more than 50,000 people enjoy a guided tour of Stone’s Escondido brewery. The California-based brand (which also has brewing facilities in Richmond, Va., and Berlin, Germany) released the video above to showcase its expanded tour in its hometown. An expert guide (or “Indoctrination Specialist”) takes groups through the heart of the brewing facility, teaching about the brewing process and craft beer culture. The best part: a guided tasting of Stone’s excellent beers rounds out the trek. Check out the website to make a reservation for a brewery tour at Escondido, Richmond or the Berlin location.
