Bikes and breweries have a unique connection: From brewers hosting bike-themed events to bike brewery tours. Now, local brewers, members of Western New York’s craft beer industry and Consumers Beverages representatives have joined various elected officials in Niagara Square to officially unveil the “Consumers Craft Cruiser.” The Cruiser accommodates eight to 15 passengers and is ideal for events including college graduations, birthday parties, team building, corporate outings and brewery tours.
“We are happy to partner with Consumers Beverages in bringing a premier pedal bike to Western New York. The support we have received from elected officials, public safety officers and potential customers in Hamburg, East Aurora, Williamsville, and the City of Buffalo and all across Western New York has been tremendous,” said Matt Pokigo, co-owner and president of the Consumers Craft Cruiser.
The Craft Cruiser offers a blend of features and amenities to ensure a safe yet fun experience. Safety elements include full comfort-ride suspension, adjustable seats with back support, pedal deck for easy loading and unloading, and LED and ground effect lighting. Additional amenities include a canopy, built-in bar and keg system, six-speaker premium sound system, built-in coolers, USB charging ports, purse hooks and a padded throne seat.
“The Consumers Craft Cruiser is a top-of-the-line pedal bike that will be paired with unparalleled service,” said Matt Davison, co-owner and vice president of the Consumer’s Craft Cruiser. “We think the WNY area will embrace the Cruiser concept, and we look forward to getting people on the bike for a fun day or night on the town.”
“Consumers couldn’t be more excited to announce our role as title sponsor of the Craft Cruiser,” said Neil Kavanaugh, owner of Consumers Beverages, Inc. “We look forward to offering people a unique way to enjoy Western New York as well as the growing craft beer scene.”
In addition to the Consumers Beverages title sponsorship, the Buffalo Beer Mug Co. has agreed to terms as the “official beer mug of the Craft Cruiser,” and Designated Drivers of Buffalo has partnered with the megacycle to offer its services at member rates to all Cruiser patrons. Ted’s Hot Dogs has also been enlisted as the “official hot dog purveyor” of the Craft Cruiser and will align promotional opportunities related to its upcoming Downtown Buffalo restaurant location.
