Foreigner and Live Nation have collaborated on a concept worthy of our barely ongoing Craft beer marketing idea of the week series — the VIB (Very Important Beer) upgrade package. Old time rock fans may purchase the VIB package to enhance their Foreigner 40th Anniversary tour experience and drink beer with Foreigner’s Michael Bluestein and Bruce Watson — both craft beer enthusiasts and certified beer servers.
“Bruce and I recently finished the CBS [Certified Beer Server] course, and upon completion … In the burgeoning craft beer scene, it’s always a treat to get a firsthand look into the magical brewing process, and of course taste the fruits of their labor. We look forward to continuing these hop and malt filled adventures as the band travels throughout the country,” said Michael Bluestein.
Pre-show, fans sit down with a flight of three local beers hosted alongside a local brewery expert, receive autographed swag such as a Foreigner CDs, custom Foreigner key chain and tote, early entry to the venue and more. Best of all, fans can chat one on one about brews and beats with Bluestein and Watson for the ultimate tailgate.
Foreigner is currently touring across the United States for their 40th Anniversary Tour, joined by their good friends Cheap Trick — who are also celebrating 40 years since the release of their self-titled debut album — and special guest Jason Bonham who brings the music of Led Zeppelin to great night of rock ’n’ roll. Tickets are available at www.livenation.com.
