Being out of the Commerce City suburb of Denver, it’s natural for Colorado Rapids fans to love beer. And we figure there’s a pretty good chance that the sophisticates who like soccer also like craft beer, so it makes perfect sense that the franchise announced that the club has entered into a multiyear partnership with Odell Brewing Co., the nationally recognized and award-winning craft brewery based in Fort Collins. The agreement will feature the rebranding of two concession stands at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, where Odell Brewing’s classic brands will now be available for of-age fans at the stadium. Additionally, Odell Brewing will host a sampling bar in the Summit Club powered by 2lemetry, the premier food and beverage suite at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, during each Rapids home game.
“Odell Brewing Company is a very special Colorado company and widely respected as one of the best craft breweries in the country,” said Rapids President Tim Hinchey. “Our fans have been asking for this and we’re excited to add a first class Colorado craft brewery to our OneClub family.”
“As one of Colorado’s first craft breweries, we are thrilled to partner with our local Colorado Rapids and help support the team and their passionate fans,” said Eric Smith, director of sales and marketing for Odell Brewing.
The Colorado Rapids return home this Saturday, September 14 to take on FC Dallas at 7:00 p.m. at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. The Rapids will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Night, and will also host the Special Olympics Rapids game against Special Olympics Dallas on the field after the match. Before and during the game, fans can purchase Rapids players’ new and used gear at the “Open Closets, Open Hearts” sidewalk sale with proceeds benefitting the Myocarditis Foundation.
