You may know Thielmann as “The Container Company.” Because for the last 275 years, the company’s been perfecting its quality and processes for providing stainless steel containers. Today, that means everything from ISO tank containers carrying fuel or water to stainless steel and carbon steel safety containers for hazardous fluids used in the chemical, mineral oil, food and beverage industries. It’s also a worldwide leader in kegs, so it makes sense that the Houston-based steel expert is introducing keg service operations in the United States.
In fact, Thielmann is exhibiting at the Craft Brewers Conference and BrewEXPO America in Nashville this week (stand #1616), so it’s the perfect opportunity to kick some kegs and talk with experts about these cool new service options and the rich history of one of America’s greatest stainless steel titans. We definitely plan on stopping by.
“Stainless steel kegs are undoubtedly the best option for brewers looking for clarity of taste, character and preservation from their brews,” said Terry Parker, beverage container service director at Thielmann. “Stainless steel kegs are an investment, and they will serve your brewing operations for as long as you keep them in good working order — as long as 30 years. In expanding our U.S.-based servicing options, we strive to help our customers achieve their goals and produce the perfect brew time after time.”
Thielmann noted that it’s been investing heavily in its U.S.-based servicing portfolio — especially since its aim is to ensure new and old keg customers keep their steel fleets in optimal condition throughout their service life. Thielmann’s full keg service and repair program options include internal and external inspection, cleaning, neck repair, chime straightening, pressure testing and spear maintenance. The company says its keg servicing procedures are 100 percent tailored to customer requirements, with each step of the process — from fleet arrival at the Thielmann facility to its return to brewery — optimized to make sure assets are tracked, assessed, cleaned and repaired as required, so that they return to brewing operations as good as new.
Document and track your kegs
Additionally, Thielmann can provide documentation and data analysis for fleet visibility and improved stock and spares management. Services can also include the collection of scraps/parts for environmental removal. For brewers looking for deeper understanding of their keg fleet, Thielmann tracking solutions are also available to allow customers to optimize investment in their keg fleet, understand keg availability against forecast and identify asset losses and loss rate trends.
