These 360-degree virtual reality videos are now officially a thing, which is cool by us. Just one question: What took so long? After we reported that Deschutes Brewery had released its first 3D VR film in mid-July (the onus was to envelop the viewer in the places that inspired Deschutes’ most famous beer, Black Butte Porter), we noticed that Brooklyn Brewery has also picked up the 3D torch, releasing a 360-degree tour of its Brooklyn brewery. While best viewed with commercially available, high-end VR headsets such as the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive (yeah, who has those lying around?), you actually don’t need anything but YouTube to enjoy the virtual reality aspects of the flick. Just click on the white arrows in the upper left corner of the video above to spin the camera. It’s wild, especially after a few beers.
