Victory Brewing Co. announced the arrival of 18 oversized brewery tanks (16 fermentation tanks and two bright tanks), for its new brewery located in Parkesburg, Pa. The new location will have capabilities to complete 10 brewing operations per day and produce 200-barrels (bbls) each.
The brewery tanks were fabricated in Germany and shipped from Rotterdam onboard a modern, open-hatch, multi-purpose ship. Triple R. Transportation was the logistics coordinator tasked with delivering the tanks to the Parkesburg brewery.
“As a company whose success has relied on the thirst of our local fans, we strive to positively impact our regional economy with each decision we face. Working with the Port of Wilmington was such an opportunity. We appreciate the facilities and it’s efficient, capable staff,” said Brewmaster and President of Victory Brewing Company, Bill Covaleski.
“We are pleased to provide logistical support and facilitate the expansion of Victory Brewing Company, a company that creates many regional jobs,” said Gene Bailey, Diamond State Port Corp. executive director. “Our broad project cargo handling expertise really comes into play with this type of complex and delicate project cargo. Our operations team, the deep sea ILA labor, and our terminal labor are experts in handling such challenging project shipments.”
Victory Brewing Co. is a privately-held craft brewery located in Downingtown, Pa. Started by Covaleski and Ron Barchet, childhood friends who met on a school bus in 1973, the brewery formally began operations in February of 1996. Now, Victory beers can be found in 29 states. Victory’s full-flavored, innovative beers meld European ingredients and technology with American creativity.
