The latest commercial, “American Manufacturing Is Brewing Something Big,” from the Siemens “Answers” advertising campaign provides a behind-the-scenes look at Schlafly Beer through the eyes of its founders and employees. The television spot features Siemens’ Braumat Compact PCS7 system, which Schlafly used to automate the brewhouse, double its brewing capacity and increase daily production efficiency by 30 percent. Braumat has also enabled the brewery to maintain consistency in quality and supply, boosting overall sales. The ad underscores Schlafly’s investment in the local community as well as Siemens’ commitment to the American economy.
“Siemens technology helps small-scale craft brewers like Schlafly expand into larger markets,” said Ed Montgomery, industry manager for Siemens Food & Beverage. “Schlafly’s remarkable ability to increase production by 50 percent in less than two years was a story that we simply had to tell.”
James Ottolini, head of brewing operations for The Saint Louis Brewing Inc. discussed the importance of this national spotlight being placed on Schlafly and its partnership with Siemens.
“We have great and talented people who bring our beers to life every day,” Ottolini said. “Working with Siemens gave us greater control to brew more with consistent results. We have all our customers, excellent staff and our work with Siemens to thank for this success.”
This spot is part of a larger advertising campaign that highlights Siemens’ contributions in industry, healthcare, energy and city infrastructure. The ad debuted on Feb. 24 and ran in the St. Louis and national media markets.
