We’re excited to see Finback Brewery open its doors in Brooklyn. After avoiding its trademark dispute with Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (changing its name from Narwhal to Finback Brewery), the craft upstart has been working hard to assemble its brewing operation. Just watch the video above to see the progress. This is how it’s described in the Finback newsletter (awesomely named Whale Call).
All our equipment made its way safely down the eastern seaboard, arriving on three trucks. It was a nerve-racking experience unloading and even more so getting everything into the brewery and standing upright. Everything went smoothly, and we’ll be piping and installing everything starting this week! Take a look at this short time lapse video of the day’s excitement. A fun time lapse video installing our tanks. We’re super excited to fill them with beer…
Finback is also putting the finishing touches on a KickStarter. The brewery is looking for investments to get a barrel-aging program going, which includes some funky sours and requires additional equipment and (yes) a bunch of barrels. We’ll keep you updated on that fundraiser as it gets off the ground and other Finback factoids as the NYC craft brewery starts producing beer.
