The Maine Brewers’ Guild will return with the sixth New England Craft Brew Summit tomorrow on Thursday, March 31, at Holiday Inn By the Bay in Portland, Maine. This will be the first large industry event in New England since early 2020 (450 beer pros are expected to attend). Governor Janet Mills will join keynote speaker Dan Kleban of Maine Beer Co. to kickoff the event at 8:45 a.m.
The past two years have been a tumultuous time for the craft beer industry, but according to a recent survey by the Maine Brewers’ Guild, 43 percent of brewers reported that business was better than expected in 2021, and 87 percent reported optimism about their future.
The New England Craft Brew Summit will feature more than 20 in-depth workshops surrounding this year’s theme of — Standing Out in a Crowded Marketplace — exploring technical and business topics designed to engage brewers in thinking about where their businesses will be in five, ten, and twenty years.
