Mother Road Brewing Co. in Flagstaff, Ariz., created a new, very cool, community investment program. The brewery’s employee-run Community Committee, in conjunction with the Mother Road management team, elected to give directly to this new Building Community program this fall rather than spending on traditional advertising.
Mother Road has been voted ‘Best of Flag’ by the community for 10 years, so this is just a small token of the brewery’s esteem.
“This year we feel directly investing in the needs of Flagstaff the best way to support our local community as they supported us the prior 12 years,” states Marquess, Co-Founder and CEO. “It directly aligns with our purpose of building community one pint at a time.”
So how will Mother Road be giving back?
- From Sept.15 to Sept. 30, Mother Road’s Tap Room will entertain nominations of local charities from its guests and crew.
- The five most nominated charities will be voted upon by the guests of Mother Road’s tap room between Nov. 1 and Nov. 15.
- Each pint purchased will receive a ballot guests place into a charity’s corresponding ballot box.
- Mother Road will make a $0.10 donation for each ballot cast, awarding a minimum of $500 to each charity.
- The winning charity will be announced at Thanksgiving on the website and across social media channels, #motherroadbeer.
