When we last checked in with Eddie Leon, owner of M.I.A. Brewing Co., he shared his plans for his L-shaped tasting room that would wrap around the brewhouse and primary fermentation area and allow for a tour through the brewing stages, from beginning to end. At the time, Leon explained:
“As people are hanging out at a table, they can see the brewery at work. The tour is going to be an important part of the process. It’s also kind of required because in Florida, in order to have a tasting room, you have to be considered a tourist destination — education is going to be part of it. We want to educate people, whether it’s a resident or a tourist, about how we make craft beer.”
(Funny, that tourist destination fine print has been popping up recently.)
Now, that dream that Eddie shared with Craft Brewing Business as a blueprint is a reality. Check out the video above to see the taproom and brewery in all of its glory. Congrats, Eddie!

@CraftBrewingBiz Thanks! I hope the taprooms themselves are considered structures that help promote tourism.
