We enjoy themed events, and Crooked Hammock Brewery in North Myrtle Beach has a really great lineup of holiday-themed events running all month — from magical snow showers and gingerbread, to a winter beer celebration and a rockin’ New Year’s Eve party.
Now, as an Ohioan, do I somewhat hate them for celebrating snow near the beach in such a way while we are bundled up and miserable? Without a doubt. But that’s also what makes it such a great niche concept.
The monthlong celebration begins on December 6 (thru Jan. 2) when the backyard at Crooked Hammock becomes a winter wonderland. From Thursday through Sunday each week, magical snow will fall in the backyard, on the hour, from 4-8 p.m.
The Let It Snow Family Fest will take place on Sunday, December 12, from 12 to 4 p.m. Families are invited to spend a day in the snow enjoying hot chocolate, cookies, a gingerbread house contest and, of course, a visit with Santa. Each ticket comes with cookies, unlimited hot chocolate for the kiddos, adult beverages for the folks, and a photo with Kris Kringle.
On Saturday, December 18, the Crooked Hammock backyard in North Myrtle Beach will host a Winter Warmer bacchanal. Myrtle Beach’s best local breweries will bring their tastiest and most comforting winter beers to the snowy backyard: Grand Strand Brewing, Tidal Creek Brewhouse, New South Brewing, Pawley’s Island Brewing Company, as well as Twelve 33 Distillery. The first 200 ticket holders will also receive a holiday taster glass from which to enjoy all the winter warmers.
On New Year’s Eve, a night of revelry and unbridled optimism for 2022 starts at 8 p.m. on December 31st and will feature a Keg Drop at midnight. The first 100 ticket holders will also receive a special edition, large format can of our seasonal Lift Ticket beer with Crooked Hammock New Year’s Eve artwork.
