The Beer Institute has just released August 2024 Domestic Tax Paid Estimates, providing insights into the current state of beer production and sales in the United States. For craft brewers, these tax numbers are more than just stats. They are a key indicator of industry health. They reflect demand trends, consumer behavior and market dynamics. These recent tax numbers indicate continued shrinkage.
The August 2024 estimate is 13,000,000 barrels or bbls, a decrease of 7.7 percent compared to August 2023 removals of 14,080,189 bbls.
