I was just in Rehoboth, Delaware, for the Labor Day weekend. It was spectacular. The family and I hit Snyder’s Candy, Zogg’s Raw Bar & Grill, Funland and of course the beach and boardwalk. No trip to Rehoboth would be complete without a visit to Dogfish Head Craft Brewery. While I have a deep love for the original brewpub, the new Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats on Rehoboth Ave is beautiful. I enjoyed a Caprese Grilled Cheese sammy with a 90 Minute IPA this weekend, while friends feasted on tacos, flights and pretzel bites. At one point, I mentioned to my girlfriend, “I know Dogfish has a hotel around here too, but I don’t know where.”
Well, now I do — in exact relation to the Dogfish Brewings & Eats restaurant. Dogfish just released the video above, giving a turn-by-turn bike trail navigation guide from the Dogfish Inn in Lewis, Delaware, to its Rehoboth campus and back. The video uses mostly the Junction and Breakwater Trail on the way in and the Gordon’s Pond Trail on the way back. Tom Bastian, general manager at Dogfish Head’s Tasting Room and Kitchen, gives us the tour, using a custom electric Dogfish Head bike that hotel guests can rent.
Learn about trail riding etiquette, other brewers around town, cool local hotspots and multiple ways to enjoy costal Delaware and Dogfish Head properties. I’m definitely trying this out next time I visit.
