The No-Li Brewhouse, known for its Spokane-Style beers, continues to push innovation through brewery expansion projects and a new screen-printed,12 oz long-neck bottle four-pack. Continuous research and development and fast-paced growth drives a need for more production, packaging equipment and increased capacity – the brewery is awaiting two 60-barrel (bbl) fermenting tanks, one 60-bbl Brite beer tank and a new 30-bbl brewhouse.
“Our current growth puts us on pace to produce nearly 6,000 bbls this year, up from 2,400 bbls in 2012,” said master brewer and co-owner Mark Irvin. “With the addition of the new fermenters, a brite beer tank and a new brewhouse, No-Li will have about 10,000 bbls per year capacity.”
In addition to new production equipment, No-Li will add a new bottling line to support the four-pack series. The Imperial Series includes year-round Jet Star Imperial IPA, a 115 IBU, 8.1-percent ABV double IPA, as well as Wrecking Ball Imperial Stout, ringing in at 100 IBUs, 9.5 percent ABV. The four-pack Imperials launch Nov. 18.
“The new packaging configuration allows No-Li to meet customer demand for a smaller package size with exceptional value,” Irvin stated. “The screen-printed 12 oz bottle is unique within the industry.”
In addition to the brewing and packaging expansions, No-Li also recently sourced new team members: Lead brewer, Damon Scott from Durango Brewing Co.; head chef Branden Moreau, born and raised in Spokane; sales manager Dylan McDonald; marketing manager Brittany Dern, both previously from Oskar Blues Brewery; and a handful of brewers, production and sales staff from the Spokane area.
