Longtab Brewing – a service-disabled, Veteran-owned brewery in San Antonio – is supporting the national nonprofit Soldiers’ Angels with its new Military City beer. A portion of the proceeds of the 5% ABV American Ale, which has been dubbed the “Official Beer of Military City,” will be donated to Soldiers’ Angels to support its efforts to provide aid, support, and resources to the Military, Veterans, and their families.
The partnership will launch at a Patriot Day (Sept. 11) event at the Longtab Brewing brewpub, located at 4700 Timco W Suite 105, San Antonio.
“Every brew we craft pays homage to Special Forces history and the brave Green Berets who served our nation and made the ultimate sacrifice,” said David Holland, U.S. Army Special Forces Veteran and Founder of Longtab Brewing. “Partnering with Soldiers’ Angels fuels our commitment to uplift our Veterans and Service Members, and we couldn’t be prouder to further their mission.”
“Longtab Brewing and Soldiers’ Angels are dedicated to serving, honoring, and supporting our nation’s heroes in Military City and beyond, so joining forces is a natural fit,” said Soldiers’ Angels President and CEO Amy Palmer. “Together, we’ll actively support our Veterans and Service Members through every sip.”
Nicknamed “Military City USA,” San Antonio has been home to a consistent military presence for nearly 300 years. The city has one of the nation’s largest active and retired military populations and is home to the Department of Defense’s largest medical center at Joint Base San Antonio Fort Sam Houston.
In addition to the Military City release, the Patriot Day event will feature live music from talented local artists and a silent auction featuring a custom Yarborough knife with the Longtab Brewing and Soldiers’ Angels logos engraved on the blade.
