Since its inception, Butcher and the Brewer has carved a delicious niche in Cleveland’s competitive culinary beer scene, offering a unique blend of farmhouse-inspired dishes and home-brewed craft beers. The restaurant-brewery, a brainchild of the visionaries behind the successful Tremont Taphouse, has become a cornerstone on East 4th Street — a vibrant artery of Cleveland’s dining and entertainment map.
Craft Brewing Business is also based in northeast Ohio, and Butcher and the Brewer has always been a favorite spot for our famous holiday parties, so it’s exciting for us to announce that the excellent Ohio beer and meat expert is celebrating 10 years. For its 10th anniversary, Butcher and the Brewer is throwing a luau-themed party complete with a whole pig roast, a lineup of special tiki drinks and the sounds of live music. The event will also feature exclusive brewer collaborations and beer specials, including $5 beers served in a souvenir mug designed for the occasion.
Guests can look forward to a vibrant evening filled with DJ sets, live music performances, interactive games and a photo booth to capture the memories. Additionally, attendees will have the chance to take home exclusive 10th Anniversary merchandise and free Butcher and the Brewer swag.
Butcher and the Brewer’s journey over the past decade is a testament to the resilience and innovation of its founders — Jason Workman, Chris Lieb, and their partner Jeff Leonard. Brewmaster Michael Alexander’s pioneering brewing techniques have ensured a steady offering of unique beers that complement the restaurant’s robust menu, which emphasizes locally sourced ingredients and artisanal meats. The brewery’s Albino Stout specifically is a local favorite — at least with everyone I know.
Reflecting on the 10-year milestone, owner-operator Jason Workman noted in a recent press release:
“Growing up in Cleveland’s St. Clair-Superior and West Park neighborhoods taught us the value of resilience. Despite the challenges, including those posed by the COVID pandemic, we’ve adapted and thrived, thanks to our incredible team and our commitment to quality and hospitality.”
This celebration not only marks a decade of success but also renews Butcher and the Brewer’s dedication to being a pivotal part of Cleveland’s vibrant food and beer culture. The event is open to the public, with free general admission to ensure everyone can join in the festivities.
Join Butcher and the Brewer as it celebrates 10 years of culinary and brewing excellence — right where Cleveland’s heart beats the loudest on East 4th Street.
