What began as an effort to assist brewers and winemakers in gaining efficient and cost-effective distribution for their canned products has now evolved. Launching their E-Commerce Distribution portal in Florida in March of 2024 and open to retailers statewide, BevPort is expanding to include spirits-based ready-to-drink (RTD) products.
Recognizing the growing demand and unique challenges faced by distillers, BevPort is extending its innovative distribution solutions to encompass spirit-based RTDs in addition to beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages and CBD-infused drinks.
The BevPort Distribution Portal is the brainchild of industry veterans and entrepreneurs, James Williams and Philip Guana. Handling shipping, warehousing, invoicing, and collecting payments, BevPort removes many of the traditional distribution system’s barriers and limitations, saving producers time and money. Brewers who sign up for BevPort will immediately be introduced to 5,000 buying accounts through their partnership with Country Malt Group and Sunshine State Delivery. BevPort’s three-tier digital distribution model is designed to empower producers. This means:
- Streamlined Approval: Start selling in Florida within days.
- Maintain Control: Take charge of brand promotion without the interference of large distributors.
- Cost Savings: Benefit from a cost-effective model with only a 10% margin, compared to the traditional 35%-40% margins.
Live in Florida first, BevPort expects to grow into Texas and California in 2025 and has plans for nationwide availability on the horizon.
