Odyssey Beerwerks, based in Arvada, Colo., announced a special event in partnership with the Arvada Professional Fire Fighters Foundation (APFFF) to support injured fire fighters and the families of those who have fallen in the line of duty.
“This is a true collaboration with Arvada fire fighters,” says Deana Hill, co-owner of Odyssey Beerwerks. “They help brew and can the beer. It’s fun time when we tap the beer and enjoy the fruits of our labor at the event, but we always start by raising a glass to honor those who risk it all for our community.”
The annual fundraiser will take place at the Odyssey Beerwerks Taproom (5535 W. 56th Ave, Ste. 107, Arvada) on Saturday, June 29 from 2:00-8:00pm and features the release of the Old Dodge Red Ale, brewed in collaboration with the Arvada Fire Department.
All proceeds from Old Dodge Red Ale sales on June 29 will support injured fire fighters and the families of fallen firefighters, via the APFFF. Additionally, after the event, a portion of keg and can sales at the Taproom and local venues will continue to support the foundation.

The official beer tapping, led by Arvada Fire Captain Mike Kulp, will kick off at 1:00 pm. Old Dodge Red Ale is malt-forward brew, boasting rich caramel and slightly roasted malts with a touch of smoked malt in the finish. This special ale is named after Arvada’s first motorized fire engine from 1923, which will be on display during the event.
Fire fighters from Arvada and beyond will be in attendance, with Boudin & Beignets serving up delicious Cajun food from Noon-8:00pm. A special performance by Arvada Pipes and Drums is one of the highlights of the day, as well as a Silent Auction and Raffle that directly benefits the APFFF.
Odyssey Beerwerks and the Arvada Fire Department have hosted this fundraiser since 2016, with the only exception being 2020 due to COVID-19. Previous events have successfully raised significant funds, including contributions to the 9/11 Memorial at Arvada Fire Station #2.
