KeyKeg, a provider of one-way keg solutions, said that due to overwhelming demand for its KeyKeg 20 Slimline, the company has expanded production for the product ahead of schedule. In the last few weeks, KeyKeg has added an additional stretch blow moulding machine, which means that the inner and outer cylinders can be made at the same time.
“This second SIPA machine increases the Slimline production line’s capacity by 50 percent,” said Jan-Dirk Veenendaal, product development manager.” The test runs exceeded our expectations, partly thanks to the clever SIPA technicians. This line is now the standard for all our new Slimline production lines. In terms of production technology, we’re totally ready to roll out our new production lines.”
KeyKeg will roll out the next Slimline production lines in Germany and the United States.
Tips for using your KeyKeg
“It’s a good idea to keep in mind variables like pressure and temperature, especially now with higher summer temperatures,” the company noted. KeyKeg has drawn up recommendations for transport which you can download here. You can also check out a bunch of instructional videos, including the best way to measure the CO2 content of your beer in a KeyKeg.
“We sometimes get questions about excess foam in the beer in a KeyKeg. In 95 percent of these cases, the solution is to chill the beer and/or raise the pressure. Very occasionally, there can also be too much CO2 in the beer.
The packaging on every KeyKeg also has QR codes linking to other videos about connecting, recycling and foaming problems as well.
