Bierstadt Lagerhaus, a brewpub and restaurant in Denver, Colorado, faced closure during the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown. To prioritize the safety of customers and employees and comply with local government regulations, owner Chris Rippe sought a solution to keep the pub open at its maximum capacity.
After much research and consulting with some of the experts at the time, Rippe installed Airius PureAir fans in Bierstadt Lagerhaus. These fans use proprietary ionization technology called needlepoint bipolar ionization (NPBI) that effectively improves air quality by neutralizing organisms, including the COVID-19 virus.
PureAir fans ensure a continuous flow of clean air by constantly circulating the air in the space. Moreover, NPBI technology neutralizes organisms on surfaces such as furniture, walls, and equipment. This comprehensive approach works actively to reduce entire rooms of pathogens, a capability that other technologies lack.
Ionization technology has long been utilized to render viruses, bacteria, molds, and other pathogens inactive, ensuring the safety of the air we breathe. Rippe chose Airius PureAir fans due to their superiority in addressing the needs of his pub.
Bierstadt Lagerhaus presented some unique challenges given its layout, which includes a mezzanine and stage area known as the Bierhalle that hosts several live events a week, making cleanliness a more complex task. Unlike other air purification technologies, PureAir fans conveniently mount in the ceiling, out of the way of both guests and employees. The PureAir’s design allows the fan to be installed almost anywhere with just a simple bracket and access to wall power. This ease of installation enabled the Bierstadt Lagerhaus/Airius team to situate the fans where they were best used and around existing building features.
Rippe states, “The fans are easy to install, lightweight, and incredibly quiet. They do a great job balancing the air distribution throughout our brewery — and the purification is a bonus.”
One notable benefit of clean circulating air is the enhanced comfort it brings to everyone in the restaurant. PureAir fans not only improve air quality but also maintain a balanced room temperature, making it more enjoyable for customers to savor their beer and spend time with friends. Additionally, using Airius fans can lower energy consumption and costs, which proves advantageous for any business.
The successful installation of PureAir fans at Bierstadt Lagerhaus is an example of how NBPI technology aids in reducing respiratory pathogens to keep employees and customers safe and comfortable.
Breweries, restaurants, and various establishments can rely on PureAir fans to provide a safe and continuous clean airflow. Available in various sizes, these fans effectively combat airborne pathogens, ensuring the health, safety and comfort of customers and employees.
