MadTree Brewing continues to catch our collective attention. First off, the Cincinnati-based craft brewery just recently became a B Corp, which is an incredible accomplishment. MadTree is also currently busy converting an old airplane hangar into its third brewery. It recently demoed that zombie incinerator. Oh look over there: MadTree Brewing is doing something else cool. It’s expanding its flagship location in Oakley, Ohio, renovating and taking over operations of a previously occupied Catch-A-Fire Pizza, which is right next door.
According to the release, pizza will remain the mainstay of the kitchen, but its menu is expanding beyond pie to include sammys, appetizers, kid’s choices and seasonal offerings. MadTree is promising “technology and built-in efficiency within the kitchen [that] will create a seamless consumer experience,” according to the release. Construction will commence in January, and the kitchen will open in early spring of 2024. Till then, there will be food trucks. Customers will still have full-service food options via rotating food trucks while the kitchen remodel occurs, including award-winners Red Sesame and Sweets & Meats. Service will be available Monday to Sunday during normal taproom operating hours. From the release:
“This is just the beginning! We are only getting started in the inclusion space for individuals with developmental disabilities. This is just a first step for us.” said Rhiannon Hoeweler,V.P. Experience & Impact.
Countertops will be lowered at both point-of-sale counter and pickup window, making both areas accessible to anyone. Along with the change in infrastructure, MadTree will provide accessibility training for all front-line staff. We love those efforts. New serving tech is also top of mind for the indie brewery. MadTree is introducing new technology to enable mobile ordering from anywhere within the space.
As Kenny McNutt, MadTree co-founder, emphasizes, “Our focus is on providing a warm and welcoming customer experience, making your time here as enjoyable and effortless as possible.”
In conclusion: Keep a lookout for MadTree’s new menu and kitchen reopening celebration this spring.
