Monday Night Brewing once again says Death to Hunger

Craft breweries are a charitable bunch. A shining example here is Monday Night Brewing in Atlanta.

Designed to celebrate the season of giving and crush food insecurity throughout the city of Atlanta, Monday Night Brewing, Atlanta Community Food Bank and a list of other industry partners within the community are uniting to bring Death to Hunger.

Last year, Monday Night Brewing’s Death to Hunger initiative supplied more than 60,000 meals to families in need, and they anticipate providing even more than that this year.

Throughout the month of November, Monday Night Brewing will make a donation to ACFB equivalent of:

• 3 meals for families in need, for every six-pack of Death Raptor and 1 meal for every 16 oz draft of Death Raptor, sold in Monday Night Brewing’s Atlanta taprooms
• 3 meals for every six-pack of Death Raptor sold in grocery stores and bottle shops
• 1+ meal for every two 16 oz cans of Death Raptor sold at convenience stores
• 1 meal for every draft pint of Death Raptor sold at participating restaurants, pubs and bars

But wait, there’s more

Monday Night Brewing Brewmaster Peter Kiley and Killer Mike of Run the Jewels sit on the Board of PAWKids — a non-profit community hub founded, by LaTonya Gates, that provides holistic resources and support to kids and families in need on the Westside of Atlanta.

MNB and Run the Jewels recently collaborated to launch a beer for RTJ’s Atlanta four-night run of RTJX anniversary shows at The Eastern, where all profits went to PAWKids. Together with their partners, they were able to raise $15,000 to benefit the community and families that PAWKids serves.

LaTonya and the PAWkids team are awesome. They welcome anyone in the community with open arms and no judgement, providing meals, resources and support to those who may not otherwise have access or the opportunity.

For those who aren’t physically able to visit the campus, PAWkids even goes to them. With their mobile food truck and mobile learning center, PAWkids is able to provide food, counseling, tutors and internet capability to seniors, students and community members without direct access.
