Stone Brewing just launched its 12 Days of IPA box that reflects the entire journey of Stone’s IPA obsession. The pack isn’t just your typical four IPAs, according to Stone: it’s 12 individual beers spanning from new recipes to year-round staples to archived fan favorites that are hard to find outside of this pack. It’s a generous gift of ABVs ranging from 4.7%-9.6%.
Some highlights from the festive box include:

- Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Black IPA (8.7%) – Stone’s most requested archive beer of all time.
- Stone Go To IPA (4.7%) and Stone Neverending Haze IPA (4%) – Two low-ABV favorites of years past, making their triumphant return.
- Stone 27th Anniversary Lemon Shark Double IPA – Stone’s 27th anniversary special release beer at a whopping 9.6% ABV. Brewed with a unique blend of New Zealand ingredients that create an herbal and sweet orange flavor with delicious hop bitterness.

21st Amendment brings back Fireside Chat
21st Amendment Brewery is ringing in another holiday season with Fireside Chat Winter Ale (7.9 % ABV). And in case you missed it last year, Fireside Chat sports this classier new packaging that depicts two reindeer enjoying a Fireside Chat next to a crackling fireplace, with elves peaking through the windows.
“Fireside Chat is a beer we’ve been making every holiday season since we opened our pub in 2000,” says Nico Freccia, 21st Amendment COO and Co-Founder. “It’s the very first Great American Beer Festival medal we won back in 2001. So it was really fun to re-think the design and branding for this beer, really leaning into the holiday season and a sense of fun. While we play with the spices each year for just the right holiday flair, the beer hasn’t changed and it’s still the best beer out there for your holiday table, as a gift for a friend, or just to enjoy by a warm fire.”
Shaun O’Sullivan, Co-Founder and Brewmaster at 21st Amendment Brewery describes Fireside Chat as having “a deep amber color, bright toffee foam-laced head, soft spice profile, and a rich subtle chocolate layer on the finish that’s wonderfully elegant.”
According to Shaun, Fireside Chat “really comes together with the new package design depicting two reindeer in comfortable chairs, enjoying glasses of Fireside Chat in front of a roaring fireplace while two despondent elves look on from the snowy outside wishing they were inside. Be like a reindeer and enjoy this beer with your reindeer friends.”
Dust Bowl Brewing shows of seasonal Star Dust Ale
Dust Bowl Brewing Co. released Star Dust Ale in 16oz cans and draft last week. The latest package release fits in the company’s seasonal portfolio, which caters to both off-premise accounts and curious craft beer drinkers who are always looking for something new.
Light amber in color, Star Dust Ale comes in at an approachable 4.5% ABV and very low bitterness at 10 IBUs. Consumers are in for an easy-drinking, flavorful delight according to Don Oliver, Brewmaster, who shares, “The peach flavor and aroma really play well with the light sweetness from the crystal malts and the lower ABV keeps it in the session range.”
The Star Dust Ale label harkens back to the Las Vegas vintage neon signs that were iconic in the 1950s.
“While our primary focus is always on producing the best quality beer, we work hard on the marketing side to present the beer in a way that captures the consumer’s attention and draws them to purchase Dust Bowl products,” comments Michelle Peterson, Director of Marketing & Communications. “We want the packaging to be as memorable as the beer itself.”
Lone Tree Brewing celebrates Hop Zombie Day
On Saturday, October 28, if you weren’t at Lone Tree Brewing‘s tasting, you missed out on celebrating year 11 years of the legendary Hop Zombie Imperial Red IPA.
Each year a line forms out the brewery door on Hop Zombie Day, and this year the brewery rewarded the first ten people in line with a free limited edition Hop Zombie glass. For the rest of the undead souls in line, specialty glassware is available for purchase while supplies last.
Hop Zombie has made phantom appearances on an annual basis since 2012. It was the silver medal winner at the 2017 Great American Beer Festival, and it is undoubtedly the most anticipated beer release of the year at Lone Tree Brewing. With a devilishly delicious blend of hops, this brew boasts a 9% ABV and a formidable 90 IBUs.
Tröegs’ Blizzard of Hops is its longest running seasonal IPA
Tröegs Independent Brewing is readying the release of Blizzard of Hops. The popular winter IPA has been a mainstay of the Hershey, PA, brewery’s rotating seasonal series since its debut in 2014 — its longest running seasonal IPA.
“This beer is a nod to hop growers around the world, thanking them for another successful harvest,” says Tröegs brewmaster and co-founding brother John Trogner.
Built on a foundation of pilsner malt and wheat, this cold-weather favorite clocks in at 6.4% ABV. Brimming with lively bitterness, Blizzard of Hops evokes notes of spruce tips, pineapple, and orange rind thanks to a combination of Centennial, Chinook, and El Dorado hops.
“In the winter, people’s taste buds deaden and they tend to eat richer and fattier foods,” explains Trogner. “In my mind, there’s a need for bitterness on the beer side to balance that out.”
