Winter in Ohio isn’t typically suitable to outdoor dining and drinking, which is why there is nothing more awesome than conquering winter and doing it anyway. Bonus points (and revenue) if your brewery can pull it off.
To utilize both their rooftop space during the winter months and offer a one-of-a-kind experience to taproom guests, Cincinnati’s Braxton Brewing Co. will once again set up its IGLOOBAR. The Braxton team reports the IGLOOBAR was an incredible boost to Braxton’s overall winter taproom traffic last year. In 2021, more than 10,000 people visited the IGLOO.
“Braxton’s IGLOOBAR is designed to be a destination,” says Jake Rouse, Co-Founder and CEO of Braxton Brewing Co. “We knew we wanted to utilize our rooftop space during the winter months and offer a one-of-a-kind experience to taproom guests. This year’s IGLOOBAR brings an elevated experience that gives our rooftop space the feel of a premium ski resort.”
Beginning Nov. 2, each of the ten heated rooftop igloos will become available to Braxton guests. Each igloo can hold up to eight people, where guests will be served food and drink directly to their igloos. A personal Bluetooth speaker in included, adding to the Braxton igloo experience. The reservation fee is $35, and the igloos will be available until March 1 — open in any cold, snowy conditions.
Guests will also notice a new food and enhanced cocktail menu that will feature items like TikTok’s favorite “Butter Board” and pretzels and beer cheese.
