The spotlight will shine on homebrewers and fermentation hobbyists June 18 to 20, as Music City plays host to the 42nd Homebrew Con presented by the American Homebrewers Association. An anticipated 2,500 attendees will gather for the three-day event to celebrate the art of brewing beer, making cider, mead and kombucha and the art of fermentation. Homebrew Con features more than 70 seminars, 90 speakers and a Homebrew Expo featuring the latest brewing technology and ingredients.
The conference concludes with the National Homebrew Competition awards ceremony, the world’s largest international amateur beer competition recognizing outstanding homebrewed beer, mead and cider.
Hobbyists with all levels of experience making beer, cider and mead are invited to Homebrew Con. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from a variety of speakers including medal-winning homebrewers, beer industry professionals, do-it-yourselfers and more. In addition, more than 50 homebrew clubs will share their finest libations with attendees during the conference, including a themed Club Night.
Bailey Spaulding, CEO and brewmaster of Jackalope Brewing Co., will deliver this year’s keynote address and welcome toast.
In 2006, while attending Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, Bailey Spaulding began homebrewing and writing her own recipes. On May 21, 2011, Jackalope Brewing Co. opened its doors with the goal to “build a craft brewery that put out delicious, creative beers while being an active force in the community.” In August 2018, Jackalope opened its second brewery in Nashville furthering their commitment to quality and community.
While attendance is limited to American Homebrewers Association members, all beer lovers are invited to join and discover the joys of homebrewing.
