Since Nov. 1, Sloop Brewing Co. and Craft Beer Guild NY have been setting aside $1 from every case of Super Soft IPA sold in the Craft NY footprint and at Sloop’s tasting room and restaurant, the Factory. The proceeds set aside will go to buy Build a Bears which will be donated to Toys for Tots. On Friday, December 13, Build a Bear will be coming to the Factory to help stuff the bears!
“The community here in the Hudson Valley and Eastern NY has always done so much to support our company,” said Adam Watson, President of Sloop Brewing. “We think it’s really important to give back, especially around the holidays. By partnering with Craft NY, we’ve been able to raise several thousand dollars to buy bears for kids who need them, and by partnering with accounts around the Hudson Valley, the Capitol District, the North Country, and the Catskills to sponsor collection drives and pub crawls, we’ve helped raise thousands more.”
For a limited time, Super Soft pint glasses will also be for sale in the tasting room, with a portion of the proceeds going to Toys for Tots. Build a Bears will also be available to purchase and take home at the Friday event.
More about Sloop
Founded in 2011 by President Adam Watson and Head Brewer Justin Taylor in a Poughkeepsie garage, Sloop Brewing has gone from selling beer at farmers’ markets and hand delivering kegs to being one of the fastest growing breweries in the country. In 2018, Sloop opened a new, 25,000 square foot brewery in iPark, East Fishkill’s former IBM plant, with a full service restaurant, bar, and private event space all on site. Named for the boats that once moved people and cargo up and down the Hudson, Sloop is proud to be a part of a growing craft movement and a growing upstate economy.
