Oculyze was jointly cofounded in 2016 by Kilian Moser, Dr. Ulrich Tillich and Dr. Katja Schulze from Germany, with a vision to provide automated image analysis for anyone anywhere. As a first application of their image recognition platform and technology, the company launched the Oculyze Better Brewing (BB) 1.0 in late 2016 that enabled breweries to determine viability and concentration of their yeast in less than a minute. Oculyze followed that success with the release of the Oculyze BB 2.0 in 2018 with a special additional feature ensuring that the device was now compatible with most USB C and Micro USB OTG capable android devices.
Additionally, the enhanced Oculyze BB 2.0 app integrated the latest technology and provided an environment for automatic documentation and data backup. The company has since witnessed a steady increase in sales with a growing customer reach across 26 countries.
Last month, the company secured a seven figure investment from Constantia New Business (CNB) GmbH headquartered in Vienna, Austria, a venture capital investor working with high-tech startups. The funds will be utilized to support Oculyze’s plans to grow the current business exponentially, specifically supporting late-stage research and development of additional products in the Oculyze portfolio and further market expansion both within Germany and across the world.
Commenting on the latest development, Kilian Moser, cofounder and chief executive officer of Oculyze said:
“As we embark on a new year, I am delighted to announce that we have secured further funding through a new partnership with Austrian based CNB. This latest funding comes at a very exciting time for Oculyze as we seek to consolidate and sustain our position as the world’s premier platform for mobile image analysis. We take this opportunity to thank the team at CNB for their invaluable support and will continue to focus on creating greater value for all our stakeholders.”
