Complementing the recent announcement of an innovative new shared sales and distribution platform with 21st Amendment Brewery and Funkwerks Brewing Co., Brooklyn Brewery has partnered with MicroStar Logistics to deliver keg supply-chain solutions for its partner breweries. This keg logistics platform will drive efficiencies, flexibility and sustainability benefits for 21st Amendment, Funkwerks, Brooklyn and future participating breweries.
“Our partnership with 21st Amendment and Funkwerks is a natural extension of the collaborative spirit that has been core to craft beer for decades,” said Brooklyn’s CEO Eric Ottaway. “When it came time to choose how to power the keg-related logistics behind our expanding network of breweries, given the strength of our long-term partnership, MicroStar was our first and only call. Their 20-plus years of experience, efficient network and commitment to meeting our evolving needs are all reasons why we see them as an extension of our operations.”
“Our partnership with Brooklyn began in 1999. Since that time our businesses have grown and evolved together,” said MicroStar’s President and CEO, Michael Hranicka. “When we started discussing the next chapter of their evolution, and the fact that it would include working with other world-class breweries like 21st Amendment and Funkwerks, we couldn’t wait to get started.”
Brooklyn’s new logistics platform simplifies operations across partner breweries by eliminating the complexity related to managing multiple floats of kegs. In addition, participating breweries will benefit from just-in-time keg deliveries, ordering flexibility, keg supply assurance, access to MicroStar’s keg quality services and the reduction of return-freight and other keg logistics costs.
