It’s time to shed that sweater and gear up for some friendly backyard bowling competition. New Belgium Brewing Co., maker of Fat Tire Amber Ale and a wide variety of award-winning beers, has revealed its summertime seasonal, a playful brew called Rolle Bolle Ale. The beer is named after a favorite Belgian past time best played with two hands, one preferably holding a beer. Available now through September, Rolle Bolle is the perfect accompaniment to all sunshine-related festivities.
“Rolle Bolle is a session beer that will surely makes its way into backyards and festivals all season long,” said New Belgium Assistant Brewmaster Grady Hull. “The entire recipe celebrates the lighter desires of summertime living.”
Rolle Bolle Ale is brewed with monk fruit and soursop, pouring as a brilliant blonde. It offers both earthy and tropical tones, following up tartness with the citrus of Cascade and Centennial hops. Oats bring creaminess to the mouthfeel, and it finishes dry and clean. Rolle Bolle is 5.2 percent ABV, available in 12 oz and on draft in most New Belgium markets.
