Dogfish Head’s Sam Calagione dons Melvins T-shirt, talks 75 Minute IPA

Montesano, Wash.’s punk pioneers the Melvins influenced Seattle’s popular sludge and grunge greats like Nirvana, Soundgarden and Green River. Milton, Del.’s Dogfish Head Brewery redefined experimental craft brewing, concocting “off-centered ales for off-centered people.” What do the two have in common? Well, this video at the least. Sam Calagione, founder and president of Dogfish Head, talks about his company’s specialty beer, the 75 Minute IPA, in this quick and informative YouTube video. IPAs being our Beer of the Month, this video is apropos, although the band influencing this beer is not the Melvins (just watch the video).
