Seventy percent of consumers choose their beer at the time of purchase. That’s insane, right? It’s a factoid via the 2016 Nielsen Craft Beer Audit, and it’s a gobsmacker that should make you realize how important branding is when trying to differentiate your beer products on shelves and coolers and at festivals and bars. In fact, considering the evidence above, branding is actually more important than the beer (just ask all those giant beer companies).
Better yet, just ask CODO Design Partner Isaac Arthur. He’s hosting a Craft Brewing Business webinar on branding on March 30. Titled, “A crash course in craft beer branding,” this webinar is aimed at helping you express the heart of your brand to consumers and thus find those key differentiators: Why do you brew the beer you brew, and why does this matter to the people you want to drink it? Arthur will cover positioning your brewery, developing your core values, finding your brand essence and framing your origin story. Then, he’ll get hands on by discussing your brewery name, logo and website. Holy smokes, he’s doing this all for free, and you’d be a goddamn fool not to sign up right here:
This dude got cred?
Dude’s got platinum cred (that’s high, right?). CODO Design has been the voice of branding advice on Craft Brewing Business since 2014. Let us throw some questions out, and we’ll let CODO crush these stumpers into highly precise nuggets of wisdom:
- How do you calculate brand positioning using a matrix?
- How do you define your brewery’s culture through branding?
- Branding or marketing? What does your brewery need first?
- How can you brand a brewery with no apparent differentiator?
- What is authenticity’s role in branding your craft beer?
- Some jerk already took my brewery name, so now what?
Can you show us some of your design work?
Look below and behold!
The branding brain they call Isaac Arthur can answer all those questions and lots more. To help get you started, CODO recently published its Craft Beer Branding Guide, a step-by-step guide to branding your brewery, telling your story and selling a lot of beer.
