Tröegs Brewing Co. served up its first pint (a Tröegs Pale Ale) on July 18, 1997, in Harrisburg, Pa. That’s just a middle chapter in the Tröegs tale, which is one of those great American craft beer classics (after watching the video above, check out more history over here). Let’s do a real quick recap: Two brothers, would-be entrepreneurs since childhood, become obsessed with the growing craft culture of the ’90s, go their separate ways, work tough entry-level brewing jobs or travel to Europe for brewing school and finally return home to Central Pennsylvania and start maybe Pennsylvania’s best brewery.
